The 2018 Civic Type R is causing quite a stir in the industry due to its bold design and innovative engineering. This model has tons of new features, including a sculpted exterior, added vents, a center-mounted triple exhaust, and more. It’s hard to find a car that even looks half as nice as the new Type R—we can’t wait to see how it performs.

According to Jalopnik, the new Type R will feature several race-ready technologies. This includes the +R Driving Mode to let you customize the suspension, throttle, and steering. You’ll also find a customizable Digital Meter Display so you can easily track performance, and lightweight bucket seats keep you comfortable as you drive.

“The modern auto industry is a never-ending deluge of boring crossovers and family-hauling SUVs. As such, I’ve come to appreciate the cars that wear their insanity on their sleeves,” said auto writer Patrick George. “The Civic Type R does that. It’s a mess of vents and scoops and strakes and wings and bumps and edges. It has three center-mounted exhausts.”

Under the hood is a turbocharged i-VTEC that generates up to 306 horsepower. Other great features include the adaptive damper system (ADS) and a limited slip differential. Plus, with an aero kit, black alloy wheels, a large rear spoiler, and Type R badging, this new model is unparalleled. For those interested in the Honda Civic, stop by Valley Honda today.
