According to TripAdvisor, one of the most popular places to visit is Lilacia Park. Earning a Certificate of Excellence, the park has broad swathes of bright lilacs throughout most of the year, creating truly stunning views. You can take a walk, go birdwatching, or simply enjoy the lilacs the city is known for. If you are looking for something to do, there is no better place to visit than Lilacia Park.
In addition to a park full of lilacs, Lombard also hosts the annual Lilac Festival. Since the 1930s the city has been hosting this event at the end of May. You can make and buy arts and crafts, eat brunch in the park, or see the Lilac Queen coronation. This event is especially popular for Mother’s Day.
Finally, stop by the Noon Whistle Brewing Company. Offering truly tasty beer, this brewery is just one of many great places to grab a drink after work. You can order everything from craft beers to premium stouts in cans, bottles, and even growlers. Just be sure to get a designated driver if you plan on drinking!
