What Makes Woodridge Special?
Rising above the DuPage River along land richly blessed with natural beauty, Woodridge is a picture-perfect Midwestern village. First incorporated in 1959, it’s a place that wonderfully lives up to its name, with thick forests available for animal and outdoor enthusiasts. When you visit Greene Valley County Forest Preserve, you’ll find 11 miles of multi-purpose trails for camping, hiking, and even cross-country skiing. It’s also a popular place for birdwatchers, with waterfowl and shorebirds aplenty.
If you’d rather enjoy the great outdoors in a slightly more manicured fashion, try one of Woodridge’s three golf courses. You’ll find an 18-hole course at Village Greens of Woodridge, a 9-hole par three course at Zigfield Troy, and a championship course at Seven Bridges. Should you happen to find yourself without a venue for celebrating Independence Day, enjoy “Celebrating the Fourth” in Woodridge.
