All New 2023 Honda HR-V Redesign

We know that drivers in Chicago and Naperville have been looking forward to the new 2023 Honda HR-V redesign for a long time. Now that it’s out, plenty of Oswego drivers have questions regarding the HR-V redesign – including the additions, what remained the same, and what they should generally inspect before taking one for a test drive.Â
2023 HR-V redesign photos give you an idea of what to expect with the new generation, and most drivers know the updated HR-V is based on the 11th-generation Honda Civic. However, there’s plenty more to the 2023 HR-V, and we’ve got all the features, inside and out, in the article below.Â
Honda HR-V Redesign: What You Can Expect
We’ve separated all the major sections of the 2023 HR-V below, starting with the exterior. For additional information regarding the new 2023 HR-V, don’t hesitate to contact us online!
Exterior of the 2023 HR-V RedesignÂ
The 2023 Honda HR-V aspires to be the SUV you take on weekend road trips. Judging solely by the exterior design, it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Here are the things you need to know about the 2023 HR-V exterior:Â
- New Honda Global Architecture underpins the 2023 Honda HR-V redesign, as seen previously in the critically acclaimed 11th-generation Honda Civic.
- The 2023 HR-V is far more robust and broader than the previous version. To underline its newfound agility, the car’s compact headlamps and taillights (inspired by the Civic Hatchback) are now set farther apart.
- The roof and hatchback have also been reimagined to give this same effect.Â
- This car has a lower beltline than previous models, giving Aurora drivers more visibility.Â
- In addition to its wider grille and longer hood, the HR-V has additional cladding around the vehicle’s base and more intricately sculpted body panels, giving it a sportier and more aggressive appearance.Â
HR-V Redesign: The Interior
The new 2023 Honda HR-V redesign has the same “Simplicity and Something” interior design concept as the 11th-generation Honda Civic. This fresh perspective is only an evolution of the company’s traditional “Man Maximum/Machine Minimum” layouts, which put the driver at the center of the experience by eliminating unnecessary cramping, interference, and disorder in the driver’s area.Â
There’s plenty of additional cargo space included with the 2023 HR-V. For those who were hoping for plenty of Civic interior design elements – you won’t be disappointed. The HR-V redesign does away with the ugly hard plastic mess that was the old HR-V cabin – eliminating the standard air vents and pleather overload. Instead, the interior is lined with soft-touch materials and canvas, in addition to the full-width vent covers, modeled after the Civic.Â
The redesign didn’t just focus on a one-dimensional overhaul or just make one or two big changes and leave other areas the same – the HR-V redesign actually improved on nearly every major section in the model equally. It includes:Â
- The same 7-inch Infotainment as the Civic (for lower trims – upgraded configurations come with a 9-inch screen)
- User interface improvements, including less back and forth between menu screens
- Less freezing and glitching that plagued earlier HR-V models
- Additional passenger legroom in the back and wider seating space for three
2023 HR-V Performance Specs

- 2.0L Inline 4-Cylinder Engine
- 158 HP
